Best climbing plants for a north-facing fence?

I have a long fence on the north side of my garden that gets very little direct sun. It looks really bare and I'd love to grow something up it but I'm not sure what would survive in that spot.
I'm thinking something that flowers if possible, but low maintenance is important as I don't have loads of time. Any suggestions for climbers or wall shrubs that can handle shade?
